What is point-of-purchase advertising?

with No Comments

In a nutshell point-of-purchase advertising is the advertising that occurs at the same place that the transaction occurs. Basically, it’s any advertising done on the store level. Have you ever been walking through your local grocery store and saw a sign or an ad for a product that that store carries? If so, then a point-of-purchase advertisement has made an impression on you. Point-of-purchase ads occur in all types of shapes and forms. Many companies include ceiling ads, like banners, shelf ads, with product photos, or floor ads, like logo floor mats or a customized mat. P.O.P. advertising is a relevant industry and marketing technique that should not be over looked.
